I saw The Odyssey yesterday afternoon, and holy shit, I think it's one of my new favorite movies? To me, it shows why we make myths, and how given enough time and ambiguity history becomes myth, but can still be used as a lesson for today.

You know why I love studying American History with all its darkness? It's because I find those pushing back against the darkness. Crispus Attucks was a black sailor who died at the Boston Massacre. There were black militia at Lexington and Concord as well as Bunker Hill.
