The Avatar Aang movie is...fine. it's enjoyable popcorn media, but it feels very one-note compared to the series. More than anything though, I'm very bothered by the way the writers forgot that Katara and Sokka are also genocide survivors.
Superman was a great movie. Supergirl was pretty good. Why such a disparity? It's not the acting, everyone in Supergirl gave terrific performances. It's not the character, Supergirl has always been pretty awesome. More than anything, it genuinely feels to me like Supergirl as a movie
