The TOS being so strict that they control you offsite is the problem; sites like Patreon and Kofi have offsite clauses too. The social criminalization of the suggestion that somewhere you might be doing nsfw is a problem. It's branding a person as obscene and we need consumers to stand up for us

a bunch of popular ASMR artists lost their channels forever this week, after YouTube cited them for violating terms against "sexually gratifying" content: www.404media.co/youtube-asmr...

Alright, no more stalling (maybe). Time to begin shading this thing. My deadline for that, which should be do-able, is the end of August. I might post WIPs to build interest every now and then.

Making a character have a striped shirt is a mistake. I ain't manually drawing all that, so there's gonna be some wonky liquifying going on at times. Just a warning to the 5 of you who will buy it 🙇‍♂️

Alright, goal by Friday is to have all the flats (mostly skin at this point for easier painting) done. I gave one character a striped shirt and I need to consider if that was ultimately a wise decision before I fill it in across like 10 pages.

Looking at some other manga artists, I think I need to rely more on beta and hatching than on shading, and I need to simplify busier backgrounds so that they don't become too noisy, even if I white out the character in front of them. I can make grays work, but I have to be more deliberate.

Productive day trying to lay flats on the pages. Naturally will change a lot once the clothes come off. There's something weird to me about certain shades of gray where they almost have a color tint to them... I have great color vision, so not sure what I'm picking up.
