Ch. 28 of BYMMS has been edited a second time, now I can get back to rewriting ch. 29. Despite loving my book, I'm finding it surprisingly hard to get back into editing and writing consistently. I lost all the momentum I'd built and have to build it all over again.

Thanks to another day of watching journaling videos on YouTube all day at work I've changed the pen I'll be buying myself as my reward for finishing BYMMS. (When I do actually finish it.) My wallet is thanking me because the new pen I picked is half the price of the first one haha.

I've been reorganizing my journal system this week and I've suddenly gone from one journal and one planner that caught everything to one planner, two journals, and two binders. It's more upkeep but much more organized.

So far I've successfully woken up at 6:00am for a week, but have not successfully made it out of bed before 7:00, which is the actual goal. I keep having to remind myself that gradual progress is still progress. I've often been the type to feel like I 'failed' if it didn't click immediately.

I've been really enjoying my A6 Hobonichi Techo this year, but I've also been feeling a mighty strong itch to be in a new planner the last few days. I think it's because I found out about the Midori Hibino and really want to try it. But I gotta finish the year in the Techo, I don't want to waste it.

I've been watching soooo many journaling videos on YouTube lately and it's got me very excited to journal more. Unfortunately it also makes me really want to journal while in the middle of work haha, but I don't tend to bring my journal to the office.

Hmmmmm I'm feeling the itch to write some poetry, but my writing to-do list is so big right now, I'm not sure when I'll find the time. I'll mull over it, though. I do want to add more to my collection.

I realized that, due to all the moving insanity in July, I haven't edited anything in BYMMS for 3 weeks. 😵‍💫 But I just finished edits to ch. 27 so hey! Getting back into it. Making progress.

First up: I'm getting a commission from @linnfoster.com that happens to line up with the jam's deadline so I'm calling it a jam piece too! Classic "guy goes away and comes back transitioned" tale that I love so much with a Prince x Knight twist. This one is gonna be simple, sweet and short!

I ended up going over to my friends' house and playing Magic for a few hours yesterday and that was so nice. I hadn't gotten to play in like a year. Today is going to be another chill day, I think, because oof do I still need it.

Moving is FINALLY finished, we are DONE with the old apartment. We've washed our hands clean of it, the nightmare is over once and for all. We do still have to unpack a lot at the new place but I much rather do that.

In five years my trilogy will be finished, my duet will be finished, and PTS will be finished. And hopefully people will be reading them and enjoying them as much as me. I don't expect to be writing full time in five years, buuut it would be super cool if I was, or at least working part-time.

Where do you see your writing career in five years? I really really hope there’s a published novel in my future—way sooner than five years #writingq #WritingCommunity
