People like that just make it harder on people who do need help. Tomorrow they'll come back with an entirely new story. 🙄 #Scam

Once again, deleted their old post, and created a new post, making it seem like this is their 1st time asking for help. Previous post said the aid was for their nephew. RE: https://mk.absturztau.be/notes/a96qlbbdxg0o01m7

LibreWolf is such a troll within the Gecko ecosystem, that I used to theorize that it was a group of either Microsoft or Google employees running things. I still would not be surprised in the least if we ever discovered this to be true. RE: https://mk.absturztau.be/notes/a96qq3e2xg0o01my

KDE Plasma (plasma shell) need to fix the bug, that causes it to crash. Usually, when I am away from the computer for an extended period of time. I disabled any of the power save options, so I do not think that is the case.

I am putting in the window ACs (air conditioners) for the season. It's a process. Mostly, because I first have to fit the spring load window mounts, and then I have to tape up all around the side of ACs (preventing any gaps). When I take them out, clean up in the fall is a pain (another […]

Suspect scam. 1st it was medication for their father. Then it was money to avoid eviction. Then money for food. Then money for cancer. Then money for a car. They delete their post to make it seem like it is always the first time needing help and their story always changes. Local Note […]

I am going to watch some anime, take a bath, drink some tea, and just try to forget about my work day, today.

These are the type of people I deal with. Thankfully, not directly, but I still know they're out there.

The content I encounter is upsetting enough, but what takes it to a whole new level is most of the things I deal with are appeals. Let that sink in. Imagine all those horrible things you can imagine, somewhere out there, are people who feel they are entitled to post what they post, or see […]

_sigh_ Today, was a "WhatsApp Day" -- I am thankful not all days are like today. I fucking hate, WhatsApp. Many people decide to stop acting like people, when they believe themselves anonymous. You are not anonymous. If all days, were "WhatsApp Days" I think I'd either lose my mind or have […]

@Gargron@mastodon.social I found it manually typing in the URL, but it should be found somewhere easily on your website. It is not https://mastodon.social/terms-of-service #Mastodon #Fediverse #TermsOfService #TOS

@Gargron@mastodon.social Privacy Policy Last updated Oct 06, 2022 I think there should be a footer URL to your TOS. Because on your footer you only list your Privacy Policy.

@aj@social.id1.in 1st, the configuration is meant to work with both KDE Plasma and Gnome (user's choice). 2nd, in the past, as I recall, many people claim TLP works great and is independent of KDE or Gnome, allowing the system to continue managing power correctly even if KDE or Gnome don't […]

@Linux why use TLP instead of power profiles daemon with KDE?

@virtuous_sloth@cosocial.ca The guide is going to be even more detailed. The assumption of the guide is you've never installed an operating system, much less, Linux. For example, a lot of guides tell people to disable secure boot. They never tell the user how you do that. This is only a small […]

@Linux As a non-Nix user this is amazingly-well commented, which is the most important part. Thanks!

I am pretty sure my NixOS config is finished, unless someone chimes in and points something out. - Feedback is very much welcome. Now, to work on the step-by-step guide. I am going to put the NixOS Wiki to shame when I am done.

Improved Accessibility, based on feedback. Accessibility is enabled by default. Because if you don't need it, it's easy for you to disable it. But for someone who needs it, not having it is a problem. 1st thing listed directly under hardware firmware. #NixOS #Nix #Accessibility #Linux

I want your criticism. 👀 If there is one thing, Linux users have is an opinion. I have been working on a NixOS configuration that is meant to be new user-friendly, without being overwhelming, and if possible ADHD-friendly too. Ideally, I think it is screen reader friendly as well. The goal was […]

I don't use GIT the same way others use GIT. I do not like GIT. I do like GIT websites. That said, every once in a while Code Berg be like, dude, you should create another branch and stop working in master. No. Just, no. Things would be so much simpler if there was a such a thing as FTP GIT […]

Some people would argue with bees, on how honey is made, if it meant you could ignore the truth of the world we live in.

I often joke about what I post and the trolls I encounter. Not because I think it is funny that I was right -- It's not even about being right or wrong, because that's not my goal. I work for Meta, so I don't need to worry about being right, because what I share about Meta is what I know. I […]
