With August coming to an end and fall less than a month away, officials are reminding Oregonians that the state’s wildfire season isn’t over yet. Oregon remains severely dry, and dozens of fires are burning throughout the state with the Labor Day holiday weekend approaching.

The Lloyd Center will close to the public today. On a recent Sunday afternoon, most of the restaurants are vacant on the top floor of Lloyd Center, but the food court is anything but quiet. About a hundred people crowd around tables, cheering loudly as metal spinning tops slam into each other.

Oregon voters rejected a proposal to address Oregon’s road funding problems with new taxes and fees on Tuesday. The Associated Press called the race minutes after election officials posted early returns. As of 8 p.m., nearly 83% of votes tallied were against Measure 120, according to early returns.

Here are some highlights of the tentative agreement: - No minimum salaries in contract lower than $65k, minimum salary increases for many positions - KMHD hosts in particular get a nearly 30% increase retroactive to July ’25 - Guaranteed yearly increases of at least 3% for all 3 yrs of the contract
