For some reason I completely forgot Lower Decks is a series they could pull from for the Star Trek MtG set. Also, wow that art is horrifying.

I talk D&D on youtube. Where I provide tips and tricks for players and DM's. youtube.com/literarydm I also love talking about the following: D&D Daggerheart Call of Cthulhu Cyberpunk DC20 [They/He | Aro | Ace ]
Managed to get back the energy to put together a video for this week. We'll be talking about my hopes and worries about D&D universes beyond. Because I finally managed to gather my thoughts. Keep an eye out for the video dropping Friday morning 10am central.
One of the funnier moments from my earlier days of DMing is I forgot to write down roughly how many guards were at a specific location waiting for the party. Meant to say like 5-10, but in the excitement of the moment, my brain fused it together and it came out 50.
No D&D session tonight for various reasons, but one of them is for sure that my brain is still soup, 😂
All I can think of now is if it was with in my budget. I'd totally go to PaxU to see all you amazing people again. Well if anything GaryCon in March 2027 is probably on my list, so we'll see
Ah yes nothing like coming back to a mountain of tasks and emails. Back to reality indeed 😂
I had no idea how tired I was. Took a nice warm bath with Epsom salt, and then passed out for a two afternoon nap, 😂 Even then, it feels weird to be back. I can't wait for next year.
I may or may not be two and a half pages deep into design notes spurred on by some of the panels I attended at GenCon. The fire is there, and it's getting exciting.
I get to the Shadowblight portion of the Journey to Horizon frame in Hope and Fear. My initial reaction is that it sounds like Malice from Breath of the Wild. Checking influences and yup, Breath of the Wild is mentioned. Can never turn off that Zelda brain apparently 😂
I'm not even all the way through but Daggerheart: Hope and Fear is an incredible rules expansion. Solid rules to add more depth to your games. Frames that are really flavorful and fun. With some solid classes. I really want to play the Warlock.
So glad I took today off work to recover. Starting the morning off with a cup of coffee and reading Hope and Fear.
Made it home safe, so here's my GenCon haul. Missing you all a ton.
If there's one big take away I've gotten from GenCon this year is how genuinely awesome it is to be able to meet up with everyone and just hang out. To have a moment to not be creators and just be friends.
Love this dice. Currently taking a moment to do some session prep. Chilling in the lobby of the ICC near the Regency.
Last day of the con. I'm slowly making my way to the convention center. I'll be leaving probably close to 1pm or so. If you see me feel free to say hi. I'm not ready to leave yet.
As I rush to my Pirate Borg demo. I'm forming my thoughts about 13 Omens. It is good. It succeeds in doing what it set out to do. It moves quickly and easy to follow.
Eating lunch, then look out the window to see three cosplays of Shayne's, Chosen, walk by. This is one of the reasons I love cons. People just vibing our, having a good time and being themselves. As well as celebrating what they love.
You all are going to want to keep an eye out for Eidolon when it comes to backerkit in October. A setting for Daggerheart from Keith Baker and Jenn Ellis. Where the whole city is powered by ghosts. The panel teased some awesome stuff, and I can't wait to see it.
This GenCon has been a whirlwind. It's been awesome getting to meet people in person finally and just hang out. Taking a night to recharge on my end to make the last few days awesome.
Well this accidentally became timely with the Warcraft announcement. Maybe we'll see this Theros mechanic make a return. youtu.be/XNGfivKRrdk
So World of Warcraft has been confirmed for November for D&D. Star Wars for 2027. If Zelda gets confirmed at some point. (Especially with the Hasbro toy deal). I will become insufferable 😂
Dark Sun is coming back and it'll be under a mature line for D&D books. Very curious to see how that'll be used as an avenue for darker fantasy, stories and also content. But, never thought we'd actually see Dark Sun make a return.
Doing the dungeon dare at GenCon. I took 80 points of damage and died, 😂 Good times.
