Communities are only complete when they're connected. By shifting focus away from car dependency to biking, walking, & using public transit, we can create a safer, cleaner, and more accessible city. #weekwithoutdriving is 10/1-10/8. Join us in participating and sharing your story!

Last night, ~2 dozen folks gathered for our 2nd annual bed-warmer work party! In just 1 hour, we turned 320 lbs of feed corn & new socks into 179 microwaveable bed warmers to keep our unsheltered neighbors warm this winter. It was such a great mix of new and familiar faces! 🧦 #Kirkland

It’s tonight! Our work party to assemble microwaveable bed warmers is happening from 6-8pm at Chainline at Kirkland Urban. Jennie completely cleared out the Bothell Pet & Feed Supply Store for 320 lbs of whole feed corn, got 200 pairs of socks, and rounded up all the tools. See you there! #Kirkland

Six local organizations serving our unsheltered neighbors have asked for 165 microwaveable bed warmers this season—over 100 more than last year! It's all hands on deck for Liveable Kirkland's work party on Mon, Sept 21 (6-8pm) at Chainline at Kirkland Urban to help assemble them. #Kirkland

Had such a great time last night digging into _Breakneck_ at our book club! It’s wild how different countries tackle growth and what we can learn right here at home. Next month we’re keeping it close to home with _Strawberry Days_, diving into local history. Join us! #Kirkland

Huge shoutout to the 12 incredible volunteers who turned out yesterday for our Adopt-a-Road cleanup in North Juanita! Despite the soggy weather, four teams powered through both sides of 100th Ave NE. We even tackled a bonus section that needed some extra love. #Kirkland
