In a few years when the US is alone in a China-dominated world, Americans who don't follow the news will wonder how we lost our allies. The answer will be that Republican politicians didn't think strategically at all. They just wanted to get re-elected, so they slavishly obeyed a deranged criminal.
Now imagine all the GOP members in Congress. Are they saying "enough is enough"? Of course not, their fattened wallets have isolated them from what is happening to every American. Their BETRAYAL continues. They think they can survive a doomsday. They couldn't even start a fire for warmth and food.
