Former Irish president and UN human rights chief Mary Robinson: I have just returned from the West Bank. ... Netanyahu aims to make Palestine disappear physically, economically, culturally and politically. Albo's government continues to support this annihilation.

What I saw in the West Bank

Industrial policy has *always* rested on 'might makes right'. The debate over the "unfair" use of industrial policy only became mainstream once a non-Western economy used it successfully. Can we please stop pretending the West ever cared about creating a level playing field or genuine "fairness"?

Next two years are going to be the worst yet for climate — and we’ll still have News Corp saying it’s not real. People will believe them. And will blame migrants for burning down their houses. And will refuse to accept that 250 years of industrial fossil fuel combustion has lead to where we are.

Trump is killing tens of thousands of people and destroying entire national economies just so he can short the markets and then catch them on the rebound. It is the most profoundly evil and egregious abuse of power and a scale not seen since the second world war.
