At least 530 workers died from heat-related causes on the job last year. As temperatures rise, workers need stronger protections. Every worker deserves water, shade, rest and the right to come home safely at the end of the day.

Trump Administration Is Undoing Plans to Boost Workplace Heat Protections

The Biden administration took steps to shield workers from extreme temperatures. The Trump administration is taking a gentler approach with employers.

As wildfires devastate communities across Washington, we're grateful to the firefighters, EMTs, utility workers and every first responder putting themselves in harm's way to keep people safe.

I’m so proud of my union sister Roxanne Brown and all the work she has done as International President of @steelworkers.bsky.social. USW is a force of good for working people, and she brings that energy to fight for a stronger future for all workers every day.

She Never Worked in a Steel Mill. Now She Leads the United Steelworkers.

New union leader Roxanne Brown’s first test will be contract negotiations with U.S. Steel under its new Japanese ownership.

Ghirardelli: stop hiding information! It's past time to bargain in good faith and reach a fair contract with the full health care that workers need and deserve. Solidarity with @unitehere.org Local 2 members on a ULP strike in San Francisco!

The SAVE America Act would make it harder for eligible Americans to cast a ballot. It’s an outright attack on workers’ fundamental freedom to vote. Working people need and deserve a democracy where we can all make our voices heard at the ballot box.

This is the third time the VA has tried to rip up the union contracts of 300,000 workers who care for America’s heroes. It’s an attack on veterans and ALL working people. Our labor movement will keep standing up for VA workers’ union rights.

VA’s third attempt to scrap union contract heads back to court

The Veterans Affairs Department says it is following the terms of an expiring agreement. AFGE argues VA is ignoring a requirement to keep the contract in place during negotiations.

Every number on this chart is another family stretching a paycheck that cannot stretch any further. Working people aren't asking for luxury. We're asking to feed our families. That shouldn't be controversial.

Medicare and Medicaid have brought health care access to millions of people for the last 61 years. As this administration continues to attack these critical programs, America’s unions are organizing to make sure every working family has the health care they need.

Federal workers keep our communities strong. They should be able to feel safe on the job, and have a way to remedy discrimination at work. The EEOC’s efforts to stop class action complaints by federal workers is an injustice to all working people.

EEOC stopped hearing federal workers' class action cases, union claims in lawsuit

The U.S. agency that enforces laws banning workplace discrimination has illegally ceased processing class action-style complaints by federal employees, a major labor union alleged in a lawsuit filed o...

Robbie Sparks was a true barrier-breaker whose passion for workers’ rights and civil rights made an incredible impact on our labor movement, communities and working people. America’s unions will carry her pursuit of justice forward. Rest in power.

The #IBEW mourns the loss of one of the great voices for workers’ justice and civil rights, Electrical Workers Minority Caucus President Emeritus Robbie Sparks. Her legacy will continue to inspire future generations of IBEW activists. bit.ly/4ftx1Sc

Every morning, millions of Americans start their day with something delicious made by a BCTGM member.  It was an honor to be with workers who keep this country fed and who show the labor movement what solidarity looks like.

I’ve seen for myself: The Gordie Howe International Bridge is proof of what union workers make possible. Congratulations to everyone whose skill and craftsmanship brought this project to life. This is what investing in good union jobs looks like.

I'm proud to stand with @unitehere.org Local 25 and support the boycott of the Montgomery County Conference Center, where workers are being denied a fair union organizing process. I encourage our partners and allies to join us by moving their meetings and conferences elsewhere.

The largest act of union-busting in American history stripped Department of Defense workers of their union rights. Nearly half of those workers are veterans. Tell your representative to stand with working people and restore those rights.

CALL: Vote NO on the NDAA Onder Amendment

The National Defense Authorization Act being voted on in Congress RIGHT NOW has language that both Democrats and Republicans support. This is language that would restore Department of Defense workers’...

The economy is rigged for the rich and powerful. Working people are fighting for scraps just to make ends meet in this economy. And workers are sick and tired of extreme corporate greed.

Workers shouldn't have their retirement gambled away on crypto schemes. The CLARITY Act weakens protections that workers and retirees rely on while opening the door to more speculation with retirement savings. We should be strengthening pensions—not putting them at greater risk.
