There are some birds you photograph once and forget. And then there are Snowy Egrets. Elegant one moment. Completely ridiculous the next. This particular Snowy spent the evening strutting through the shallows, looking equal parts royalty and chaos. King Snowy. 👑🪶

The neighborhood mockingbirds absolutely lost their minds over this Harris’s Hawk on my block wall this morning. I managed to catch the whole dive-bombing sequence through my screen door before the hawk finally bailed. Full video is up on my YT channel if you're interested in seeing it. 💙🦋🪶
