A piece of lore for the Slugblaster game I’m running: International Slugblasting Icon Xia became famous overnight by dropping the viral video of her trick, the Triple Tünkey. It was re-posted by some of the highest-profile Slugblasters on Toob Tak, and propelled her to superstar status. 7th bingo!

An optional rule for a game I love: so over the weekend, I ran Slugblaster for some friends, and I brought name cards to remind folks of character names and pronouns. More importantly, I bought a lot of “cool 90s” stickers. Whenever they did a trick, they got a sticker for their name card!

A fun house rule that makes any party game better: no matter what the rules say, the game is over when you want it to be. Don’t be married to getting x cards in front of someone or w/e.

If you love saying “check it!” Before rolling dice to indicate you’re about to do a sick stunt, but you ALSO love hitting real, emotional beats in your character’s home life, you’ll love Slugblaster! Believe the hype, the game is great. Top-notch writing. I’ve never felt so supported as a GM!

Maybe this is lightly cheating, but I reviewed Uncharted Worlds on DTRPG (it isn’t on Itch). My official 5-star review of that game is way overdue. Cramped Quarters is something I’ve been using in every game I run for many years now.

You Can See Everything makes a pretty compelling case that it’s probably less likely someone is a super genius evil mastermind, and more likely that some folks are just incomprehensibly weird.

A mechanic that lights my brain on fire: Wizard Community College’s resolution system. Different colored tokens that have different symbols. The result is the symbol, the color is who tells what happens. Incredible!
