I'm still around, working on Paleophage. I'll post more when it's closer to being done.

Logan - Solo Indie game developer currently working on PALEOPHAGE, a dinosaur survival-horror game for PC and PlayStation 5. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2198310/PALEOPHAGE/
This was my top album of 2024 by a long shot, I'll take 10
Pre-orders will be available 7/19, stay tuned !
I've been working on naval combat systems for my side project in my free time lately, it's turning out to be pretty cool. I also animated a death in Paleophage that I think might be too gnarly to post on bluesky.
Animating people is so much harder than animating dinosaurs lowkey
I was just reminded that few years ago I worked on a small Moomin fan game that I didn't get very far with. I wanted to do more with it but I lost the files sadly. I really enjoyed the simplicity of it.
My side project is really fun to work on because I can just come up with anything I think sounds cool within a fairly loose framework and implement it without too many restrictions. I have ended up with a really interesting setting and conflict with drastically different factions.
The fish men are too scary to fight on foot, let the tanks take care of them.
I'll have more paleophage updates soon, I'm working on it. But I've also taken a little time to implement a few ideas I've had for my other games. This next one is definitively multi-genre, but a bi part of it is what I'd call a sort of "cosmic horror battle simulator" on a huge scale.
Spent some time this week back in Milwaukee. You might recognize the riverwalk area from something else I've posted.
Added a little animated save icon for when the game auto saves or the player saves manually.
BTW, Remnants of a Scare is insane and you should play the demo. I haven't been so overcome with dread while playing a videogame in a while.
Sorry guys, it's been a minute, even after finishing my move getting settled has taken a bit. Here's a preview of a chase sequence in Paleophage, and what happens if you're caught.
Unrelated to Paleophage - For any of my trans followers that have been to Japan recently - how accepting was it? How safe did you feel there? How was your airport experience? pic for post visibility
I dream about so many ideas for games, often really coherent concepts, but just amorphous enough that when I wake up I am not sure how to execute, or there's one big logic oversight that keeps the gameplay loop from making sense.
I'll be moving over the next week or so and I have to pack up my PC's, which means fresh posts will go on hiatus until I'm in the new place. Expect less posting or reposts in the meantime. Here's a few wet Ceratosaurus pics for now. 🦖👀
Some locations in Paleophage and the real-world places that inspired them. Most materials in the game were created with photography I took on-site at various places around Milwaukee.
Saw Hokum last night knowing basically nothing going into it. The whole time I was thinking "Wow this feels just like a Damian McCarthy film". Then I saw the end credits lol. Maybe the rabbits should have been a giveaway.
I basically rebuilt my entire kit for environments from the ground up over the last few weeks, and as a result environment detail has increased significantly.

Want to get back into posting regularly for #screenshotsaturday, but I'm away this weekend so here's an early Paleophage post. Don't forget to check it out and wishlist on steam if you haven't, the store page will be getting updated soon to reflect new game content.
My dinosaurs survival horror game, Paleophage, is coming along nicely, if slowly. Recently refactored or completely remade most of the environment assets across the game for better visual quality, updating lighting in many areas. Tons of animation work on cutscenes too.
