We saw this caterpillar in the middle of a footpath yesterday- but I’m having trouble identifying it. Not the best image- sorry. Any ideas? Buff tip is coming up as a suggestion online. #moths #caterpillar
This Speckled Bush Cricket dropped in at the pub to join us for lunch. Not the best photo from my phone, but he was carefully taken outside where he was safely offloaded after chosing the third tree he was offered :) #ukwildlife

A quick snap of last nights sunset over the fields. At this time of year the sun is too far west to make the best of it for a photo though.
I haven’t been around too much this weekend as I’ve been over on FB removing all the ads. I now have a feed that is simply friends and pages I follow. After 24 hours of loading and reloading it’s still ad free- not a single one. 💪🏻
They are now fending for themselves and are exploring all the reed beds in the marsh. This baby Sora is a few weeks old and is very serious about hunting! They prefer early mornings and this one was slowly checking all the spots for breakfast snacks!
It’s heartbreaking to hear that the wild fire in the Cairngorms is still raging & Nethy Bridge is now being evacuated. I spent a wonderful week in this beautiful area in February, and it’s all now at risk. Thoughts with those affected, those battling to gain control of the fire and those supporting.

The fields have been harvested. Which explains why I’ve been sneezing all day- but it also means I will be having a very early start tomorrow before work. We may even get some larger wildlife visiting tonight 🙏🏻
