Many agree with him that the DC suburbs of VA are quickly deteriorating because of hateful people, but instead of complaining about it on X, they give the finger to hateful people when they see them.

I wonder if there's been any pressure in Amir Hassan's party for him to run as, I don't know, Ted Hassan, or Nicky Hasbro, or Bill Hasselhoff.

There's no good Way to transmit to People in General, in a Way that will sink in, that they should stop capitalizing Nouns for no Reason. The best I can do is create a Sentence that illustrates the Awkwardness and Dissonance that can arise from such unexpected Capitalization.
Anyone else think the order of these actions is fucked up? Hunt them down and arrest them and THEN decide if they should be jailed or deported. That's not how law is supposed to work. You don't arrest first and then decide whether they've broken the law.
Trump ended TPS overnight. Deporting 350,000 Haitians is a different story. "The US government has to find them, arrest them, take them into custody, process them, then determine whether they are subject to detention or not.”

The idea of Ebenezer as an analogue of modern, selfish, super-wealthy men makes sense, but the inevitable conclusion — that we can get out of this only with the help of supernatural beings — is depressing AF. Still, I look forward to the phrase "Malthusian nightmare" in reviews, then headlines.
First poster for ‘EBENEZER’, a new film based on ‘A Christmas Carol’ starring Johnny Depp. “Before he was Scrooge, he was Ebenezer”
The new Ebenezer origin story ought to be called "The Phantom Menace." It's still just "A Christmas Carol" though.
The funny thing is that we already have a Scrooge origin story. It's called the Christmas Carol.

Gotta disagree here. With only the one comma, it's clear this is three people. With the Oxford comma, (Sylvia Plath, a New York vigilante, and Shah of Iran featured...) Plath is "only" a NY vigilante. This editor did a good job of, I'm sure, removing a comma before "featured."
Why I’m a fan of the Oxford comma.
Screwworms and cyclosporiasis caused by the withdrawal of invisible-to-the-public federal monitoring is a bad-timeline situation, of course. But it does create an easily understood analogy when advocating for the importance of editors. We are the "invisible monitoring" of the literary world.
