Today marks the anniversary of the Great Fire of London, one of the most significant events in the capital's history. In the early hours of 2 September 1666, a small fire in a bakery on Pudding Lane sparked a disaster that would rage for four days and transform London forever.

We have deployed four fire engines to provide vital support to Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service as they battle a major fire on Tintwistle Moor. Our teams from Addington, Heston, Hornsey, and Southall are on the front lines right now.
