I was 10-12 in the peak of "Hulkamania". I couldn't articulate it at the time but my revulsion to him was due to the absolute hollowness of toxic masculinity. I cheered for Piper, he was flawed but at least he was relatable. Hogan was ahead of his time, but not in a good way.
