I am actually kind of curious of what kind of crazy videos could be made by training on the few terabytes of videos on my Google Drive. I spent years creating all those videos/effects, and they are a broad range of different styles of video. I just don't physically have the compute to do it myself.

I updated ACMX2 to version v2.5.0 and released a new flatpak. It is on the GitHub page and the download page on my website. If you already installed the other one you can update it with flatpak install --user --reinstall ./ACMX2.flatpak lostsidedead.biz/acmx2/release

ACMX2 — Real-time video synthesis for Linux

Download ACMX2 for Linux as a Flatpak. Mix GLSL shaders, create audio-reactive visuals, map MIDI controls, and record the result—no CUDA required.

Even tho not very many people understand my artwork or the reason why I create it but it's more of an emotional release than anything. To me it's the same as painting or drawing. It's just that I use logic and code. Not everyone appreciates a zero-copy interop or shader chain. But that is okay.

I don't put any ads on my website and have paid for it out of my pocket since December 2000 ( for lostsidedead.com ) got .biz in like 2006. I just want to share my ideas and before this AI trend help people learn how to program. I have just wanted to do something positive with my life and time.

I got some good news today. I was approved by my insurance for a newer medication for my unconscious muscle movements from taking antipsychotics for so long. I just hope the copay isn't huge so I can afford it.

Testing recording on Ubuntu. Everything is working so far. I did have to enable the texture cache and the sampler2Darray. It defaults to turned off. Also this is running in software rendering (hardware acceleration is not available on the VM I am using.)

I tested running my app in a Ubuntu 24 Virtual Machine, the flatpak install works, and so does the app. It is just the VM didn't have OpenGL hardware acceleration so it ran slow. But I am going to post a video of the process on YouTube.

There is just something special about real-time camera effects, versus processing a video file afterwards. It can have that element of the real world moving into your video because of variables in the environment.

First image is me asking Gemini to make me an "Acid Cam" image. The second image is an actual frame from one of my Acid Cam videos. The match is striking. They must of trained on my Google Drive videos, but that is okay I actually think its kind of cool that my ideas and code will live on.

Was up late tonight working on creating a flatpak for ACMX2 without CUDA enabled (to strict of licensing terms). But now you can easily download and run my app across different distros.

I think software like what I developed could be useful for people with mental illness. It helps me release my thoughts that normally bother me, and put them into the video or image and release it there. Does not have to be using code or even my program but the concept.

One time I was on psychedelics and was watching TV. The same channel has different programming based on what level I was at in the peaking process. I saw these military guys with huge bags of powdered drugs and an alien saying he came to earth to teach man how to cook.

I personally don't mind if someone wants to believe something in their own mind in their world. I do this all the time visualizing 3D holographic scenes in my mind I can interact with. But don't bring it into the shared reality and force it on other people. Be respectful of other people's thoughts.

They need to pass a law that if a person in politics gets out of control regular people can recall or impeach him with a simple majority. If Congress is compromised this can save the country from corrupt politicians. Or maybe every six months do a review election and get rid of them that way

This is how you can enable the high speed camera if you have a Pixel and want to test it with ACMX2. and its not 1 + 1 + 1 =3 , its 1 2 2 3 3 3 WH never learned how to count.
