I just want to see how BYU is getting roasted today. Bring baked goods.

I can't answer this question in the replies, so I'm quote posting. Is this normal charity? Answer 1: Yes. There are generally food donations to groups a few times a year. Answer 2: Not really, but I imagine the church is trying to put itself in a positive light due to other news stories.

LDS (Mormon) question in good faith: Is there something significant about the recent distribution of 10 million lbs. of food to LDS churches and non-LDS food banks that the church just did? Do they know something important the rest of us should pay attention to? Or is this a normal charity thing?

I have a relative who has been "living in sin" for over 3 decades. Her partner was in a car accident recently. I guess she couldn't see him in the hospital because she wasn't his spouse. He survived. Now they are getting married. Related: This is why I believe in marriage equality.

I don't know who came up with the names for young women, but I feel like they use multi-stage docker/container images. The "builder" stage is a common stage in which dependencies are installed and software is compiled. The compiled software is then copied to later stages.

I have seen SO. MUCH. Diet Coke and related sodas at the office this morning. People outside of Utah have no idea. Yesterday was worse, and tomorrow will likely be the same. The local FiiZ is doing very well.

I don't go to church anymore, but it was Fast Sunday yesterday, and I have a faith-adjacent story. CW: pointless story about a broken cookie On Valentine's Day my little family made sugar cookies. We combined the butter, sugar, flour, and other ingredients and baked them. /

This morning I was watching some little birds building nests in my apple trees. I originally thought it was cute, but then I remembered it's January and not March, and I've spent an unfruitful amount of time looking up how to protect baby birds from winter weather.
