And how do we tell apart the time to leave from the time to wait? Quartz done at last! This piece has haunted me for weeks and I want to do so much more but for now I am content to step back from this 💖 Pose by @trueref.bsky.social 💖 #OCtober #OCArt #OCSky #DnDCharacter #Art #TraditionalArt

A full body traditional illustration of Quartz, a tiefling man with white howlite-esque skin, wavy purple hair, and long deep blue horns that arch over his shoulders and are wrapped in vines and begonia flowers.
He wears a light aqua shirt under a gold and aqua chestplate, along with a red sash at his waist and fitted green trousers. He also wears boots that match his armour.
He is sat on a marble bench next to a shield and is leaning on his longsword and staring into the distance with a glazed expression. The floor is covered in various begonia flowers, and vines are climbing the bench and up and around him and his equipment, holding him in place

I started a sketch of a really old OC! His name is Ituriel and I think I've never drawn him before? #OC-tober #OCsky (Pose reference by @jookpubstock.bsky.social )

bringing her back

The Legolas and gimli “never thought I’d die fighting side by side with an elf” scene from the two towers except the quote has been altered to read “never thought I’d die fighting side by side with Catholics/what about side by side with a Pope Against AI!/Aye, I could do that”

Dustin A. Chacón@lingdustin.bsky.social · 2d ago

I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:

Screenshot of a Tweet from Pope Leo XIV. It reads:

"In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgen to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity."

A black cat with enormous round eyes holds out a small red heart towards the viewer. Text reads: “A big thank you to everyone who is still putting good things into the world when the world gives us so many reasons not to.” Beside the cat, an arrow points to the heart with the words “For you.”

It's officially Autumn, and nothing's better than a cozy slumber party while the nights get longer and cooler! What does your character wear to the slumber party, and as a bonus, is it seasonally festive? 🎃🍂🕯️ #OCSLUMBERPARTY #art

30: Spell Fencer The last one! I'm happy with the blade coloring, I think! I'm glad I tried something different this year but I have to practice a lot with marker coloring! But it was fun! #swordtember #swordtember2026

I would not have energy for a new challenge but I love this little prompt (no pressure) and I didn't draw my OCs since a while so I will try to make some!

'tis the season of art prompt lists. i made my own list for OC-tober this year! 🎨 have fun with it. feel free to do as much or as little as you want, repeat the same prompts multiple times, combine with other lists, whatever is fun for you! #OC-tober #OC-tober2026 #OCsky

TITLE: OC-Tober Art Prompts
Description: it's OC-tober, the perfect excuse to spend the whole month drawing your
original characters. you can approach these prompts with whatever degree
of seriousness and effort you want. this isn't a legally binding list of obligations,
it's just ideas to get the gears turning!
the list: • finish an unfinished piece (maybe even more than one)
• design a new character, or finish an unfinished design
• rework a character design that needs some polish
• design a movie poster or a magazine cover
• draw a single-page comic or short storyboard
• draw your OCs in an alternate universe
• draw your OCs in another art style
• find a blank art meme/challenge to do
• draw something you find difficult, using your OC
• draw an OC at a different age than you usually do
• redraw a scene from a movie or TV show with OCs
• draw an OC cosplaying one of the characters that
inspired their design
• redraw a childhood drawing of an OC
• draw two OCs interacting who you haven't before
• play with alternate color palettes
Footnote: re-interpret however you want or combine with other lists! the only
rules are have fun, take care of your wrists, and don't use AI.

OC-tober Day 1 Unfortunately I did not finish this illustration of Quartz yet, so today's post is my current progress! I'm a little unsure about the greens ATM but I hope that the whole piece is coherent by the end c: (this is under electric light) #OCtober #OCtober2026 #Art #OCArt #OCSky #DnD

A half-finished full body traditional illustration of Quartz.
Quartz is a tiefling man with white howlite-esque skin, purple eyes, wavy purple hair, and long deep blue horns that arch over his shoulders and are wrapped in vines and begonia flowers. He wears a teal shirt with the sleeves rolled up, ornate teal armour with matching boots, fitted green trousers, a red sash, and a leaf design wedding band.
He is sat, with an unfocused expression, on a bench next to his shield and leaning on a longsword. The ground is covered in begonia flowers, and vines are growing around his legs and his sword and shield.

Happy #WorldPostcardDay! 📫 At the school library, I proposed to pupils (and adults) to create their own cards, then to gift it to someone they love. They liked the idea and it worked well 😊👍 And I even received one! ❤️

Oooh thank you for this treasure trove of soups!! Here's a cat cooking a dill pickle soup:

An illustrated recipe for dill pickle soup, featuring my character Soup Cat, who is a black cat in a babushka scarf (she's green here, because it was a 2 color riso print). The text says:
DILL PICKLE SOUP ("use brine pickles" next to the image of Soup Cat withh a big jar of pickles)
- 5 cups of water or broth
- 1 carrot + 1 onion
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 3-4 big pickles + 1 cup of pickle brine
- 2 medium potatoes
- 1/2 cup of sour cream
- dill

image 1: cat is chopping a carrot holding the knife in her mouth: "chop the veggies"
image 2: cat is stirring the pot with a wooden spoon: "saute onion+carrot in butter"
image 3: cat is pouring a jug of liquid into the pot: "add hot water/broth"
image 4: cat is grating a pickle on a grater that is half her size, she's working very hard: "grate the pickles (or chop them)"
image 5: cat's paws are throwing diced potatoes and grated pickles into the pot: "add potatoes and when they're cooked add pickles +brine +sour cream +salt to taste"
image 6: cat is lapping on a bowl of soup, looking pleased: "serve sprinkled with fresh dill"
"ENJOY"

Aaah, I'm so angry. I was waiting for a parcel today. I paid an extra for the delivery because today is the only day I'm free. I'm sick but woke up early to not miss it. I stayed at home all the morning. Got a notification to inform me about the delivery schedule this midday.
