Something acutely modern happened to me today. When my daughter was little, we used to go to this play area in the Royal Armouries that not a lot of people knew about. I mentioned this a few times on the Leeds subreddit, blithely assuming it was still there, which apparently it no longer is.

If you want to look like like you’re in the know when in fact you are categorically not, just put the word ‘jimmy’ in front of something. ‘Did you flick the jimmy switch?’ ‘The what?’ [blast em with the omg-you-don’t-know-what-the-jimmy-switch-is look] ‘I defer to your vastly superior knowledge’

Our big telly - which I loath - has just died which means we now have to buy a new one and it’ll invariably be even worse than the last one. They’re just the ultimate enshittified product now: The bare minimum of actual telly acting as a fig leaf for a bunch of crap services and ads no-one wants.

This has been sitting on my computer for YEARS and every time I get a bit hacked off with whatever I’m doing, I open it up and add a couple more lines. Anyway, I’m so hacked off with what I’m doing at the mo that I did a ton of work on it this week and might actually end up of finishing it some day
