Thanks to some poor time management today I am proud to announce I #madehistory as the first trans man to eat a full Afghan cooked breakfast on the Thameslink from Cambridge to St Pancras.

A full cooked breakfast in a metal takeaway container spread out over two fold-down train tables, including tomatoey eggs, hummus, hash browns, veggie sausages, beans, cucumber and tomato salad, carrots and paratha.

purim sameach! time for me to share one of my favourite articles from 1859. no idea why it’s called the ‘ram’s head festival’ but I’m 99% sure they mean purim based on the descriptions and the date- crossdressing is also a long-standing purim tradition, as are ‘disguises’ in general.

A chaotic desk with a folder open full of paper cut outs from magazines etc. for use in collaging. In the middle of the desk lies ‘The Bumper Story Book for Girls 1975’, in the process of being cut up. Various paper elements lie scattered about.

In light of current circumstances, I’m returning to my project of painting trans people from history. This is Frances Thompson, a disabled Black trans woman who lived in c19th Memphis. Her life story is frankly devastating and I recommend reading her Wikipedia only if you’re feeling strong.
