I never finished Spider-Man Noir with Nicolas Cage, but after seeing Brand New Day, I had to go back, and I’m so glad I did. What a joy, especially in black and white. I studied film in college and have always loved the style of classic noir. Great show, beautifully done.

Back in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, I’d say, “Hey Mom, I’m heading to my friend’s house,” and she’d just say, “Be home before dark.” That was it. No texts. No calls. No checking in. Somehow, everyone just trusted that you’d make it home. It was an entirely different world.

I’m so glad Amoeba Music is still around. It reminds me so much of Tower Records and those days of going to the music store to buy physical albums and movies. At least I can still come here and get that same feeling. Thanks for keeping that experience alive, Amoeba Hollywood.
