Petey punished me for taking him to the groomer by peeing in the house after 5 days of no accidents. Fingers crossed it was a fluke. I was almost ready to remove the plastic and sheets from the carpets! Now I will leave them.

Petey wore himself out! He’s doing amazing. I’ve been using positive reinforcement treats to reward quietness, pottying outside and chewing on toys instead of me. He had a blast tearing up a Dr. Pepper box 😁
Petey has come so far in his first 5 days with us. He’s a big chewer so teaching him to only chew on toys instead of hands, shoes, sleeves, pillows etc has been a full-time job. I am starting to wonder if he’s still a puppy! When do they outgrow this phase?
Petey is having some hits and misses today. He pottied outside ON HIS OWN without my taking him - twice that I saw. And I didn’t find any accident accidents in the house yesterday.👍 butttt… almost got bit when I tried to take this bone to save the other half for later. Yikes! But understandable. 💗

Need advice from other dog owners please. Petey is turning out to be a barker. Now that he learned the dog door he darts back and forth across the yard barking at every sound and other dogs. I don’t want to be a nuisance neighbor. I keep telling him NO and uh uh! But no luck. Help?

Petey had a big day. Went to a car wash and wasn’t scared at all! Then to PetSmart for a new collar. Light blue.

Petey had a big day. Went to the vet for a health check since he’s had some diarrhea since we got him 2 days ago. Glands were super full. Was given probiotics for 10 days. Hope that’s all it takes. He’s decompressing now!
Mete Petey. A rescued stray with an injured leg we got from a shelter day before yesterday. Happy little guy, 12 lbs, possibly 2 years old. Much training needed! Chewing everything, screams when kenneled, needs potty training. Working on all this! He’s super sweet 💕💕💕
