Last week our Chief Operating Officer commented on the exclusion of trans girls from GirlGuiding. www.lbc.co.uk/article/tran...
Excluding trans children is pointless cruelty - and Girlguiding has set a dangerous example | LBC
When a charity as large and well-resourced as Girlguiding folds so quickly, it sends a signal to others that excluding trans people is the path of least resistance, writes Melissa Dee

As trans people our tolerance for mistreatment can be higher due to our oppression and the external messages we receive. We have compiled some behaviours that may indicate familial abuse. If you’re living with family and it feels unsafe, call 07902 478958 or make a referral on our website.
Check out our article in @bigissue.com Melissa our COO discusses the effect of the EHRC guidance on trans da survivors
Melissa, chief operating officer at Loving Me, writes about the dangers of blocking trans survivors of abuse out of safe spaces.
We’re grateful to be part of another wonderful Mari lwyd charity raffle this year. Do check out their art and donate to all the wonderful services if you can ❤️
I'll be raising funds for @lovingmeuk.bsky.social refuge this year, with a little Japanese milk cartoon keyring pouch and a hand block printed cotton bag (my first ever block print on fabric.)
Our community is small and have limited support networks. If you know a trans+ person who is a victim of abuse your presence is valuable. Make sure to listen to their experience but don’t suggest what they do or say. It could endanger them. Make sure to signpost them to a DA service
Today we’re proud that our founder spoke with the Queen to discuss the importance of by-and-for services
Healthwatch want to hear from trans and non-binary people about their experiences with their GP. This is an important research project and the data will help us to highlight the issues impacting trans people. You can complete the survey at: https://buff.ly/4hVqzme #Trans #Transgender #Nonbinary
While we believe by and for services like ours are a powerful tool in supporting marginalised communities, it’s important that all organisations make an effort!
🏳️⚧️🏠 Trans Awareness 🏠🏳️⚧️ Today we’d like to draw awareness to domestic abuse refuges and the difficulty our community faces when attempting to be housed in safe accommodation free from abuse
