Lowkey Moxie

We blend television’s Golden Age with modern influencer culture by independently delivering high-quality scripted shows that give passionate storytellers permission to take risks while engaging directly with their audiences. http://lowkeymoxie.com

We're often asked what type of shows we'll make. Our ideas run the gamut. We're long past the age of web series where most were 2-4 characters in one location. While we won't be making Game of Thrones or Lost-level epics, character-driven story with limited locations and light VFX is on the table.

Labor Day honors workers and their contributions to society. But the studios treat us like we're expendable, a line item, a tax write-off. This is why Lowkey Moxie exists. By becoming union signatory, we declare our commitment to safe sets and fair wages, and continued access to great healthcare.

There's no one else to shine our first supporter spotlight on than Zuri. In addition to making our gorgeous logos and fancier graphics (like this series), she also made the logo for our upcoming show, Snickers & Sketches, and has been a Lowkey Moxie champion since before the concept was fully formed

A supporter of Lowkey Moxie before there was even anything to support, she designed our logo and many of our other graphics. She is also co-owner of Louis and Cluck, a custom t-shirt company, and her designs have appeared on items sold in stores like Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and Party City.

In 2020, she wrote and illustrated her first children's book, I See Colors, about the need for racial equality. She is currently working on her second book.Yellow background and the word "Socials" in pink. Then @zurilouis with the Instagram logo and @zurilouis13 with the Facebook logo.

Union busting doesn't just mean dismantling. It's hard to protect workers' rights when there are no jobs for workers. The past few years, guild members have had to look elsewhere for work, while still paying thousands in dues to remain in their union.

As we forge a new model for making TV, we want to spotlight those who've shown us what success as an indie creator looks like. Our first shoutout goes to the powerhouse, @issarae.bsky.social, who created Awkward Black Girl as an artistic outlet and to create the representation she was missing.

FAQ2: Will you use AI to make your shows? The genesis of Lowkey Moxie began in 2018. As the popularity of web series waned, Sandrene began brainstorming ways to showcase the talents of her friends in the indie film communities of Nashville and Atlanta in a serialized format.

I’m really bad at asking for money. In high school, I got a C in yearbook, despite putting together 75% of it, because I couldn’t sell enough ads. But I’m really passionate about what we’re doing at Lowkey Moxie and would love to be able to take off running in 2026. Please help us make that happen.

Seeing the entertainment community rally around Kimmel being taken off the air is so heartening. We’re just the littlest of little guys but we also stand in support and hope Disney reverses course soon. We cannot continue to be bullied into rejecting truth.
