The Department of Mathematics forms a vibrant intellectual community comprising excellent students, world-leading faculty, experienced professional services staff, and high-achieving alumni.

We recently welcomed Year 12 students from La Swap for an engaging session with Dr Galit Ashkenazi-Golan on Game Theory, inspiring the next generation of mathematicians. 🎓 We hope this experience inspires these bright young minds to consider the opportunities that mathematics can offer 💫

Brilliant to see our staff’s passions extending beyond the classroom 🙌 Recently, Calum Robson spoke at a Rome conference on ‘Nature Lost, Nature Regained’. He explored how Trinitarian metaphysics can inform the Bohm–Hiley approach to quantum mechanics, linking theology with complex physics 👏

We were delighted to host Olha Silina for a seminar on the perfect matching lattice and the Petersen graph. Olha shared a brilliant geometric approach to network matching, offering new insights into classic results. Thank you, Olha! Come back soon!
