Canada will win as I just put pants on, which did the trick in the Canada-Finland game
Mitch Marner has been excellent in this game. Such a cerebral player.
I’m all in on the Gretzky hate. He’s been dead to me since he shilled for Harper. He also looks as unhealthy as his buddy Trump.
Missing so many chances in one game does not bode well for Canada. It pains me to say it
Congrats to Phil Noble of Reuters for this incredible perp photo of Andrew.

Czechia had 6 skaters on the ice from at least 7:49 until they scored the 3-2 goal at 7:42, and the 6th player to jump on the ice appears to be none other than goalscorer Ondrej Palat. Incredible that the officials and the Canadian video coaches didn't notice this.
I’ve got an honours degree in political science and a degree from the London School of Economics but I’m unclear on the definition of communism.
"Don't you think that communist Ottawa is leveraging communist China against Alberta?" -- absolutely unreal CTV platformed this loon...
Would love to hear Jeffrey Rath explain why his actions are not treasonous.

Happy to share a new article @lsgibson.bsky.social and I wrote about residential school denialism and truth telling in the history classroom. We think through 5 pedagogical approaches teachers might use to confront colonial denialism and pseudo-history. www.tandfonline.com/eprint/W98RU...
My partner gave me this gift many Xmases ago and I found it the other day when I was rummaging through my treasures drawer. My understanding is that it is a 10 MB (Made Beaver) token from the Hudson’s Bay Company, but I’m not sure if it’s authentic?

Gutsy response by UK PM Keir Starmer to the illegal US military action in Venezuela. “The UK was not involved in any way in this operation.” 🙄
Strong stuff from Anita Anand and the Canadian government. 🙄Embarrassing.
Please see my statement on the situation in Venezuela:

People who care about climate change are nostalgic for the past or deeply concerned about the future?
People who care about climate change are “dreaming nostalgically about the past.” - Minister Hodgson Gotcha. That explains a lot.

“And I would like to be able to love my country all while loving justice. I don’t want just any greatness for my country if such is to come from blood and falsehood. It’s through upholding justice that I want my country to flourish.” You said to me, “Well, you don’t love your country.”
The best summary of this thinking, and the inevitability of authoritarian defeat to liberalism I've yet encountered was, unsurprisingly, written 82 years ago.
Our beloved cat Rosa died in May at the age of 22. We dearly miss her and don’t want to get another cat. Luckily we have a neighbourhood cat named Simon who loves to come over and hang out for a few hours a day, including snuggle time.
RIP Tim Cook. A huge loss for the Canadian history community. Undoubtedly the best Canadian military historian of his generation. He was also an incredibly kind and generous person, who was encouraging to me in the early part of my academic career. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
