As the Supreme Court says states can be cruel to trans kids, my message is clear: Here in Minnesota, we stand with and value our trans neighbors and youth.

On this day 11 years ago, the Supreme Court recognized the fundamental right of every American to marry who they love. Minnesota was proud to legalize marriage equality two years prior, and we will continue to stand up for the freedoms of all of our neighbors.

Minnesota is in good hands with the next generation of young leaders. Thank you to Girls State for inviting me join them in the House Chamber as these young women learn about the democratic process.

Minnesota protected access to abortion in state law – the first state in the nation to do so after the Dobbs decision. As Republicans continue working to bring our country back to the 1950s, we continue fighting for reproductive freedom for all.
