Creative programming, game systems, and tools for game developers.

Check this out! 🎉 I generally prefer working with a #game #framework, but if I have to use a #gameengine, Defold is my number one choice 😍❤️ Not just because of the language (huge fan of #Lua for #gamedev), but also because #Defold is amazingly code-centric and is well designed.

As promised, I have big news regarding AME Engine. 👇 You can read all in detail in the linked #devlog, but the essence is this: we finally have a clear vision, target and goal that will actually satisfy the #indiedev people I've been making this #gameengine for. Stay tuned for the next updates!

AME evolves into Tome: the specialized Roguelike Game Engine

I know there is always a lot of apprehension when it comes to trusting indie projects - because it is such a democratized space, you really do find everything, from gems to scams. I hope to be able to...

Hey guys! Found some arrangement to pay my bills, I'm starting to #devlog again. 👨‍💻 I've been working on AME for a couple of weeks now and I've implemented a big overhaul that will make the #gameengine direction and goals better and clearer. More on this soon, stay tuned! 💪 #gamedev #indiedev

Small dev insight: A lot of AME Engine level-building power comes from a system I designed years ago, called PBMS (Pivot Based Modular System). It handles modular assembly in both 2D and 3D, and it’s fast and reliable, and quietly does a lot of heavy lifting! #indiedev #gamedev #gameengine

It's #gamedev resource sharing time again! 😄 Did you know that universities like MIT allow you to follow top-notch courses at exactly 0$? Most of these have lessons assignments, labs and other material included (also gratis, dear #indiedev), so that you can follow them as if you attended MIT!

MIT OpenCourseWare | Free Online Course Materials

MIT OpenCourseWare is a web based publication of virtually all MIT course content. OCW is open and available to the world and is a permanent MIT activity

I recommend VEXED for all game devs, especially tiny teams and solo devs who aren't able to make their own assets. I've known and liked VEXED's artworks for a very long time :)

Still on the edge of Eclectic Collection's sales goal! 😲 itch.io/s/119330/ecl... These goals help me pixel full time. Your support means the world to me! 🌎❤️ All this and much more in the bundle!👇 #pixelart #ドット絵 #gamedev #indiedev

It's still surprising, to me, how much math can help you develop a good, funny game. It's not just about the power it gives you for complex rendering/game engine software, it makes so much difference even for the simplest game concept 🤔 #gamedev #indiegame #indiedev

Serious question: Should game devs use an existing engine (AME, Godot, Unity...) or make their own? I think both are valid. Making your own engine is insanely educational and fun, but also extremely challenging and not for all creators. #gamedev #indiedev #gameengines
