just spend the last few weeks trying to get a grip at mobile development, finish two apps in the process: - a chronological diary-thing/offline twitter clone - an RSS client with an embedding-based recommendation system was quite fun, will prob keep going. #mobiledev #jetpackcompose
i am the worst capitalist ever, i hate marketing or naming prices for my projects, i just like releasing random stuff and hoping somebody eventually stumbles upon it
the more i think about it, the more i realize that the cgc was an insane project, no idea on how i manage to pull this off or if i could ever pull it off again. it’s gonna be a while b4 we see a volume 2 come out...
Took me 2 YEARS but i finally finished it, Lucas' Computer Game Collection Vol. 1, releasing this saturnday. MORE AT: lucasangelo.dev/cgc-1 #gamedev #indiedev #godotengine youtu.be/ZdfE3OnrIDg?...
oh, i totally forgot to post this, but recently i ported my GodotRetro vfx pack to godot's compositor api, they're now available at the godot asset store. the old shader materials are still bundled in btw. store.godotengine.org/asset/lucas-... #gamedev #indiedev #godotengine #godot #vfx
now that my game collection is done i wanted to try my hand at writing my own engine. had this itch some time ago where i wanted to try writing an foward+ renderer in c#, no idea if can actually do it, though, seems tough
"Reverse hashing reconstruction software for mass storage segments", a.k.a. trippy puzzle game, out now @ lucasangelo.dev/cgc-1 #screenshotsaturday
It's out, enjoy! lucasangelo.dev/cgc-1/ lucasangelo.dev/cgc-1/ lucasangelo.dev/cgc-1/

Same game, 3 different years, 3 different iterations, 3 different engines
Now features one feature I can't live without: - Instance Shader Uniforms This has been a life saver for a project I'm currently doing, to the point that I can't imagine it being done in any other engine!
Features I have no idea why Godot still doesn't have: - Carousel Buttons - 3D Debug Draw - On-Screen Debug Messages Was gonna put virtual joystick on the list but apparently it is being implemented on the next release, which is awesome

I still need to refactor github.com/ahopness/god... to use compositor effects instead of simple shaders, but I guess that will take a while

Most classes in Godot tend to be so simple and clean, it still bugs me how compositor effects can be such a hassle to set up. Creating a new effect feels like 90% boilerplate and guessing compared to simple screen reading gdshaders. Tbf thats prob on purpose tho.

Gonna start using The Conet Project's Three Note Oddity as my alarm
tbh toyota's fluorite game engine seems quite interesting, mixing google's flutter and filament into one package feels just right
Every p̶a̶i̶n̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ game is a s̶e̶l̶f̶ ̶p̶o̶r̶t̶r̶a̶i̶t̶ walking sim with a depression metaphor
Discovered a new pastime: Watching archived videos of David Lynch directing people onset
Update: not happening 😵💫 got caught up with life and the game will have to wait until next year, sryyy
Semester isn't over yet at my uni but I already started working on the last project in the collection 💥💥 hope to finish b4 the end of the year

about 3 years ago i released a little horror game called 'GIFT' that was removed from the play store due to a lack of updates. i always wanted to make a sequel to that game and now that Full Metal Syncope is released, i totally see it as GIFT's spiritual sequel, both being these weird walking sims.
I have a feeling that this last title will be the hardest to finish. It's an idea I've had in my head for about 3 years, and in all of those years that idea never fully materialized. It was a pretty stupid decision of mine to leave the hardest one for last...
i believe it will take a while until the last game in the collection is done, i got virtually no time to work on it rn (blame my uni), the current estimation is mid December, no promises tho
