Yesterday, my webcomic #SheIsRenée was featured in the local newspaper, so people can nominate it for the FIC awards in Chile. I still can't believe it!

This year I made a new illustration of Renée and Kara for the National Day(s) in Chile. Now with more background! #sheisrenee #webcomic #illustration
Today is the first anniversary of the most personal of my personal projects: #sheisrenée! Thanks to everyone who has supported me in this journey, and keep an eye out for future comics!
Yup, another dance studio in my city added tap dance to their schedule. Yup, again for kids only. The quest continues...
So... Maybe it was a good idea to stop updating Renée on Webtoons. Yay, past me.
Webtoons going all in on AI.
I've been watching a lot of series and movies with Kartily. I thought about talking about them, but I don't want to feel like it's a chore. So... I watch stuff. Yay!
For this year's Art Fight, I finally feel like updating the reference sheets for Renée and Kara with their current main illustrations, with my current inking style, and Renée finally facing the camera.
remembered this image and started giggling to myself eheheheh
Okay, funny thing here: In my first #ArtFight, I made this art of Cyrus for @strontiumsun.bsky.social. This year, I made a new updated version with Cyrus' new form.
Funny story here: the only times I have read the phrase "You will own nothing and be happy" were from conspiracy theorists claiming it was all a plan from international communism. That phrase might end up being true, but brought to you by the most ruthless and savage capitalism. Whoops...
I FINALLY MADE THE THING! So... If you want to attack me for this year's #ArtFight... please. Bring it on. p l e a s e . . . artfight.net/~LuchoVolke
Now that physical games are no more (at least for Sony), does it mean gamesnwill be cheaper? Or at least better optimized for downloading without eating half of the storage? Right? ...

I got the new Yahoo Mail design (still have an account there, I'm in a will-I-won't-I status), and they got rid of all the themes with nice colors and images. I kinda don't like how most websites nowadays only offer light/dark as their customization options.
I discovered Puzzmo thanks to @galegalligan.bsky.social and now I play it every day to practice my English vocabulary. Unintended side effect: my favorite puzzle is the one with no words at all. Oops...
Oh, my supervisor at the job appeared as a recommended contact on Facebook. Let's see wha—

We had the chance to watch the Digital Circus finale at the cinema, and it was a truly enjoyable experience. Watching the entire series together and celebrating the ending with lots of fans in our own city made it even more special.
Calvin and Hobbes strip that says it quite well;
even if LLM actually made gamedev more efficient, which I see no reason to believe it has or will, that won't reduce crunch, because the business people will just push harder until you're crunching again. When a tool increases worker productivity, that doesn't translate into better work hours.
So, it finally happened: a former client asked another guy to make a new version of an illustration I made for him, and they ended up using AI. Neato.
Prepare for the modern edition of Don Quixote, where the protagonist watches knight brainrot videos and starts knightmaxxing (????)
Wrong to the point of malpractice
The "Digital art isn't real art because the computer does everything for you" to "AI is the future of creativity" pipeline needs to be studied.
In other news: I've started watching PreCure for research purposes. I started with Delicious Party since it's the closest to Mogu-chan (Renée's favorite anime), and also with Star Detective because sure why not.
Art and office supplies brands that use AI for advertising have a special corner in hell.
My wife keeps getting Rakuten ads on YouTube... for some reason. Maybe they can send us something at least (?)
