I am a lucid flesh, my friends call me Lucy She/her Vtuber πŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈ A lover of Mechs, Metroidvanias, and life I am also forklift certified Links: https://oshi.to/lucidflesh

There is one thing that I still appreciate about twitter (I know, I know) And it's the first day of everyone being into a new thing. Petra Parker, the rising popularity of Metroid after Ravenous was revealed. But only the first day. After that the "discourse" starts, and I leave

Replaying Metroid Dread gave me a thought Because I struggle to finish other metroidvanias, even if I absolutely adore them. And it comes down to their size. Don't get me wrong, the sheer size of Hollowknight and Silksong is impressive and immersive. But it makes them hard for me to pick back up

I've been thinking about bigotry in ttrpgs again. As in, bigotry being a part of the world. As a DM and as a player I prefer there to be some. Aside from immersion, it's a way of exploring it in a very safe way, and bit of a power fantasy to show the bigots that they're wrong, etc.

So, with English being my second language, funny misunderstandings have happened. Like when I was reading a fantasy book and wondered why the character kept saying it smelled of cheese, or put stuff in cheese chests. It turns out that cedar and cheddar are different words πŸ˜
