4 pages of the webcomic done.....this *might* be getting bigger than I thought. But no I have to limit myself. The opening is kind of important as an emotional anchor.
Comics journey continues. Just finished my 3rd page!! I did not think I had the skill for this, but you're gonna be surprised by how much you know only when you see the page. Starting without waiting was the best idea.

Hi! I make 𝑮𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒆𝒏 𝑺𝒂𝒊𝒍 - a sci-fi webcomic about landing a new job and dealing with your predecessor's legacy. Updates every Tuesday! goldensail.thecomicseries.com
I got sidetracked with drawing my comic by Baxian and Zhongli Quan's honkers. Thankfully, I did work on the script and writing so yay.
respecting disabled people now is the only way to save yourself when it's your time, if you are not already. it's not that hard to change words or behaviors that are going to hurt you someday even if your tweeting that it won't right now and getting a few likes as a reward #disability #ableism
happy 10 years to witch hat atelier!!!! here's some art i made of it so far this year ◡̈
All those art tutorials were right......you need your basics. I'm glad I learned like, ratios, hues, etc. I would not say I mastered anything, but having those skills in mind help make art and composition smoother.
Comic making journey tip 3: #smallartists #webcomic Learned that the best way to draw good-looking art at speed is learning which details you need to draw in and which you don't. Most of art is using art techniques to trick the eye. I figured the only things you need to give detail to is +
Me, child: "I don't need to practice drawing animals I just wanna draw kpop & anime boys!" Me now: "I'm gonna design dragons! But wait, references! I'll mash real life animals together! I.....don't draw animals well......OHHHH oh i did need that skill..." Anyways that's how this happened-
Designing dragons, my second MC's a dragon and he looks goofy as hell. He's the tiniest dragon around.
Comic Adventure time #smallartists #webcomic 2. Check the pixel count & dimensions approved of on the platforms you're uploading I, connoisseur of not thinking, started off w/ absurd dimensions for my first page. My solution which somehow worked was create a canvas with the specified dimensions+
This is for true impulsive people who just went "I gotta START". It might be obvious to many, but I still wanna document! Let's all learn together 🤝 #smallartists #webcomic
Stuff I Learned Making A Comic as a Broke Person for Dummies 🤷♀️: A thread (For ppl starting from ROCK BOTTOM) 1. Check if the font you're using is free use. Fonts are art & creators deserve compensation for them so if you're publishing with the intent of making money from it USE FREE USE.

I'm going to maybe start a thread including all the stuff I learned on my journey creating a comic. Let's all hope I actually keep up with it & don't forget because this is coming from someone who knows NOOOOOTHING #webcomic #smallartist
Thank god I realized I can't just use random ass fonts for comic. Now the problem is finding a free use font and figuring out how to put it in.
I've been getting back into comics while I wait for more info from my concept job, and I thought I'd make a post about something very important to me, which is COMIC PANEL VARIATION and HOW TO THINK ABOUT IT.
