In my youth I played and sang in several bands. “Shock Flames”, “Polaris”, “Epic Rush” and “The Rankeys” were some of the group names. But since going “solo” in 2014 I haven’t had a band with rehearsals and shows. 🎶 All pictures by Hannah Hotz alias Hotzagrafie. 📸

Of course this is only part of the legacy handed down by the Queen of Country Dolly Parton to us.🎶 Because it's not only her music, but her kindness and ambition to do good.🙌 But I find it amazing that I can play her song in rural Brandenburg, Northeast Germany and everyone will sing along.😲

Keep making music. It's the only way. After recording acoustic guitar for "Tears Run By" of the new album, I demoed the vocals to build the rest of the tracks with the singing in mind.🤞
Goodbye, Dolly. 😢 Dolly Parton, an inspiration and role model not only for women or in country, but for everyone. Such succinct, entertaining songs, effervescent voice soft as summer rain, captivating charme, a smile like a breath of spring and open hearted kindness. 💔
