Photos from my recent trip to Italy — we started in Venice, continued in the Dolomites, and wrapped up in Tuscany - a dream for photography. The only two challenges? Narrowing down which photos to edit. and getting my pants back on after all that incredible food. :D

Uganda. A brief stop by the roadside on the way to Bwindi. Tea pickers are among the poorest people in Uganda — for a couple of dollars a day, they spend long hours gathering tea leaves. Nothing tells the story of how hard the work is better than their hands.

Back in Venice after a good month — this time with a camera converted for infrared photography as my companion. It gave me a fresh kick of motivation, despite the crowds, the heat and being short on time. All these shots were taken in just over two hours. Definitely calls for a dedicated return trip
Just wrapped up a photo tour around Italy, where among other stops we visited the well-known winery and restaurant Rinuccio 1180 near Florence. A really refined and polished setting, interesting food and wines — though that kind of fanciness isn't really my thing.
Long-eared owls near my home. On my walk today, I heard a familiar sound and spotted a juvenile owl sleeping in a spruce tree. I rushed home for my camera and returned to find two more! Here are my favorite shots—aren't they adorable?
