Dad, veteran, former Hartford Mayor, running for Congress in CT-01.

This election really is about common sense vs. crazy. It would be crazy to support anyone who supports this out-of-control president. And that means that Trump really is on the ballot in every race, in every place.

A Russian national with direct ties to Putin spends hundreds of thousands of dollars on wedding parties for the son of the President of the United States. And the President’s son’s response is to say what a good friend he is and how grateful they are. 🤯

Packed house at the official ribbon-cutting for Manchester's beautiful new public library on Main Street— the first net-zero energy public library in Connecticut and an incredible new learning & gathering space for the Manchester community.

On this 25th anniversary, remembering and honoring all those who lost their lives and whose lives were changed forever on 9/11. The thousands killed that day, the first responders who gave their lives and who've battled cancer and disease because they ran into the fire or toiled at Ground Zero,

The Hartford region has one of the largest & strongest Puerto Rican communities in the country. Proud to honor that heritage with the Puerto Rican flag-raising at the Connecticut State Capitol today — and looking forward to the Puerto Rican Day Parade this Sunday.

Proud to stand with our united Democratic ticket this morning as we sprint to the November elections. With all of the chaos, cruelty, corruption, and incompetence we’re seeing out of the administration in Washington, (1/3)

American workers are taking home a lower share of economic output than anytime since the end of World War II. Labor Day is a good time to recognize that our economy isn’t working for workers. It hasn’t always been this way, and it doesn’t have to be this way.

Proud to have the support of Connecticut’s AFL-CIO and looking forward to working together in this fight. While families get squeezed from every direction, the Trump administration is attacking the right to organize, dismantling labor protections, and giving tax cuts to those who make the most.

Yesterday evening, I joined the thousands who gathered to stand with the Danbury community — and against the abusive overreach of ICE. ICE needs to be abolished so we can restore some basic decency, humanity, and responsibility to immigration policy and immigration enforcement.

Over the last week, ICE has targeted the Danbury community. Not focusing on criminals. Not arresting the “worst of the worst.” Masked agents arresting parents after their kids get on the bus. Staking out school drop-offs. Rounding up construction workers and retail employees.

Connecticut has one of the toughest housing markets in the country, and I hear it from people of every age in every single community. Creating more housing opportunity and making housing more affordable will be one of my top priorities in Congress.

Dolly Parton was one of a kind. I’ve always loved her voice and loved her music. And beyond her music, she was a deeply wise, compassionate person who just cared about people.

So many Americans have given up on our politics. Changing that starts with not giving up on the idea of winning them back — and going everywhere, every single day, and having real, honest, unscripted conversations — outside the walls of the Capitol.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is one of so many things the Trump administration has dismantled or destroyed — and I hope to be part of rebuilding and protecting it.

On day one of a new Congress, we need to use every tool we have to expose the full depth of the Trump administration’s corruption and demand accountability. And we need to show the American people that we’re serious about building an economy that works for working families and the middle class.

This isn’t about any one race or any one candidate. We would just be a stronger party had more renewal, more often — and more opportunity for each generation to step up and make change.

Thanks, Miguel! Proud to stand with Connecticut’s Carpenters — and will be proud to work together with them to build an economy that works for working families and the middle class.
