Used super powerful paint stripper on the front door and my arm. Would not recommend. Door should look good tomorrow though!

Job that wasn’t actually on the job list number 4,893,356: Repointing some loose bricks around the window I was painting. Had to completely remove them, clean them up and re-install 🤦♂️

Today has been SCAFFOLDING DAY 🎉 Started work on restoring the first floor windows and stonework. I've added a mist coat to the bay window stonework too.
Some non-kitchen progress 🎉 🪟Restored the remaining ground floor windows (the walls and surrounds will eventually be re-rendered) 🚪Started work on restoring the door architraves before getting the front door installed. ✨Tomorrow is scaffolding day for the front of the house!

I went to the gym in a sweatshirt (bad decision). They didn’t have the aircon on. Nearly died 🥵

🌞🌚🌒 A very short story about the last major eclipse in 2015… I was in the middle of teaching my Year 5 class maths when the head came to ask ( /insist) if I could be filmed by the local news, teaching a lesson about the eclipse… in 20 minutes time.
Running really early for something, so have killed time by coming to a Starbucks for a coffee. It is not good coffee. It tastes like an electrical fire smells.
Right: Nerdy Kitchen Stuff! 🤓 💡 Drawer lights (my brother affectionately calls them our ‘spoon lights’) ♨️ Inbuilt extractor fan - so we didn’t have to have a hood 📽️ Projector - had a special socket put in and the ceiling lights positioned so we could have this instead of a TV on the wall
(I did try and do that as a thread, but Bluesky was being ridiculous / I’m a silly nanna that can’t work it out) Anyway: HAPPY FRIDAY! 🎉
