The roadworks on Central Road are beyond aggravating. I, alongside Worcester Park councillors and the Leader of Sutton Council, have written to the CEO of Thames Water demanding answers, and a way forward for them to start engaging properly with the people whose lives they disrupt.

The clock is already ticking, Andy. The way we vote is (like so much else in our system) a Victorian relic. Almost every other country in the world has ditched it. With fair votes, we can have fairer, clearer and better informed debates on the most important issues - and get better solutions too.
