I actually think Scotland shouldn't be allowed bank holidays, or should be forced to call them something different up there - "Burns Monday" or something. Yours sincerely, someone who accidentally looked forward to Monday.

It's crazy how wrong sites like CV Library and Indeed get it - nurse assessor, architect, nuclear technician. My guys, the CV I uploaded says 20+ years of web development.

Halo on PS5. It's Microsoft Halo... but on Sony PlayStation. Could it be we wasted our lives on the console wars? No, no those nerds deserved everything they got and more.

Ancient Aliens has really lost its way. Now they're from other dimensions, or living inside the earth - even us from the future - none of which is ancient, and sometimes not even aliens. In this essay I will

Some people say Leonardo DiCaprio didn't become a famous millionaire actor to go out with women who aren't half his age. My equivalent of this is, I didn't work hard for the last 25 years to walk past a Lego Bugatti in B&M and not buy it. Our lives are very similar in many ways.

Have seen Disclosure Day a few times now and it's a bit like when they release games on next-gen systems but use the same old engine. Better graphics, can't hide the jankiness.

I've watched two films this weekend - Tim & Eric's Billion Dollar Movie, and Mandalorian & Grogu - and by far the weirdest one was the Baby Yoda movie. Such a strange patchwork of a thing. I liked it a lot, but it felt like 10 teams were allowed to do a bit and then they stitched it all together.

Oddly affected by a photo I took this weekend - you've got the old and the new of London, then a weird kind of inverse power triangle with the subjects below the horizon caught in time like the pebbles on the shore. Something something metaphors. Might frame a sepia print cos that is well arty.

There's a *really* good exhibition all about esoteric spooky stuff at The Vaults by Waterloo station for another week. Can tell the organisers put a lot of effort into it - easily spend an hour there just browsing. Maybe a few too many phallic Pazuzus and eviscerated corpses for my 11yo but OH WELL

Watched Starve Acre. Did like it, although it's a bit garbled, faintly ridiculous, and a little tiny bit lazy with the folk horror spooky wooky - found myself chuckling a few times when probably wasn't meant to.

You wouldn't think an Xbox and Forza Horizon 6 were essential to passing your driving test, but that's what I heard and I'm not taking any different advice right now.

What if Iran win the world cup? Does FIFA Peace Prize awardee/warmonger Donald Trump have to give them the trophy live on TV? Just fascinated by this whole mess of disastrous foreign policy and kickball.

Went to the Warner Bros Studio Tour today, which is like what if a town the size of Milton Keynes dedicated itself to Harry Potter and allowed 2 year olds to run freely in the streets. Indifferent to Potter, but the amount of stuff - pure BIG STUFF - is insane.

What if Spielberg really has got a real live alien to star in his film, and it's because all the ones that keep crashing here aren't galactic explorers or scientists - they're the Pleiadian versions of Billy Zane.
