The Bishop Talis discards the black robes of Eastern Orthodoxy to make the resurrection he wrought on his beloved sleepwalker right. Everything went wrong because everything went well. A gift of inheritance, folk magic, imperial overreach, The Goetia, arsenic poisoning, the world turning but never changing enough and also changing far too much...
