Club Bark has many creative people working on it, I wanted to make sure that the way we feel about that work is as public as possible! This isn't a new stance, this is how we've operated from day one! In this current world full of AI slop, we celebrate the creativity and talent of real people!

Your work stays yours! There are a lot of people who make things for Club Bark. This is our promise to the creators who have chosen to volunteer their time. I want to put it here, out in the open, rather than hide it in an onboarding document or an internal file. If you create something original for Bark, it’s still yours. Artwork, music, world assets, lighting, posters, video or code, it was never ours. You may have made it for us, and with us, but it belongs to you! Use it, share it, change it, sell it, build your portfolio around it. The only thing we ask in return is that we can keep using what you made as part of Club Bark, so that if you move on one day, the island doesn't have to come apart behind you. You get credited, too. Not just "Where possible" but by default! Your name goes on the poster you made. If you built something into the world, people should be able to find out who built it. If we release a downloadable asset, your name goes with it. And if there's ever a case where we can't credit you somewhere, we'll come to you and explain why rather than quietly leave it off. Bark exists to celebrate the many forms of talent within VRChat. We have 3D artists, world builders, lighting artists, graphic designers, video editors, web developers, musicians and many others working with us. Nobody's work should ever vanish into an anonymous event machine, and nobody's contribution should get scrubbed just because they eventually moved on. The event is called Club Bark, but every texture, every light cue, every original piece of music and every line of code was made by a person with a name. Those names stay! The Island Remembers You! After last nights Fire on Water event at @vrcbark.club I just want to express my thanks to everyone who had a part in creating it. I've attached the bigger text as a picture to this post so you can read it if you wish. I am truly proud of everyone I have no words

Having recovered from the incredible event that was yesterday's Fire on Water, I am once again humbled by the talent and effort that so many incredible people have put into this. This was the third event we've ever held officially as Bark, and each time we've improved, each time we've had more people wanting to help us create an incredible experience for everyone, and each time, it's been better than the last. I don't have the words to express how proud I am of everyone who's helped us get where we are. I can only thank you for offering your time, knowledge, and passion to this project. I believe we're creating something truly special with our events, but none of it would be possible without you. Last night, as I listened to our Streaming and Technical Director calling cameras, and our VJs and LDs prepping for the live sets, I could hardly believe that as an event, we've barely existed for five months. We also did something special last night: a true live, in-world event experience with a full live performance chain. Not only was our DJ playing live, our lighting and visuals were being performed live alongside the set. Four people, actively working in real time, to bring you the sound, the visuals, the lighting, the complete package. That stream travelled through four countries before landing on the screens of Bark, and I am in awe of what we're capable of. As we head toward our next event in September, I welcome you to join us for more experiences, more of the uniquely Bark way of celebrating the talent and creative culture within VRChat.
