New in PN: Disney runs out of patience with Brendan Carr’s bullsh*t "For over a year, ABC tried to appease the Trump administration. That era is now over. On Tuesday, ABC, its parent company Disney, and eight ABC-owned stations sued Carr and the FCC for grossly violating the First Amendment."

This is second only to the GOP implying that Trump is capable, McConnell is alive, and that the country is in a better place than it was before all this idiocy took hold.

For years I believed many people on the right supported the idea of "small government" as desiring a government that did not tread unnecessarily on people's individual freedoms. It appears now what they really meant was "we just want one guy."

If I had done the jokes this guy delivered at the White House Correspondents Dinner, I would want to "bomb" shelter too.

I find it an odd contradiction that so many sci-fi magazines from the 50's were convinced mankind would have rockets capable of visiting other planets in the future, but women's jump suits that could zip all the way up still eluded even the finest minds.

Nothing says “we’re in charge“ quite like explaining who else is responsible.

Books are like interest on the capital of human knowledge. I not only have my own thoughts, I get to add the experiences of people of different perspectives. AI wants to turn the whole thing into "pay per view."

I wonder if we can find whoever Duffy paid to write his papers for his college history and economics courses and ask if they would be the Secretary of Transportation.

When one applies the axiom "Every accusation he makes is a confession of his own actions" it is almost certainly true. Though, unfortunately, history takes about 30 years to catch up. Sadly, I will be the age I can still say "I told you so!" but won't actually remember what I was talking about.

Dem's always get freaked out by the progressives/Democratic socialists. They really do suck at reading the room. Americans are sick of the corruption and ineffectiveness, that's why Mamdani and other progressives are winning.

Why do so many people who love to tell others "you just need to have faith in God" also seem to be convinced that if they, personally, don’t have total control of every situation that arises it will all go to hell? That seems to be the opposite of faith. God doesn't need your lame-ass helping.

The GOP continues to stoke culture wars because their view is people have to have their actions and behaviors policed while, at the same time, relinquishing their responsibility to regulate corporate actions because that would be "un-American" They are blaming their failures on the citizenry.

I would say it is a grave injustice! He probably shouldn't have been the first...

Jesus was a healer... And there is no account of him asking for an insurance card or payment. Some things are done because they are the right thing to do. Profit has its place, and that place is not before feeding the poor and healing the sick.

How does one reconcile the desire to have a stable and healthy economy with the belief that most people don't deserve a living wage? No spending money means...no spending.

Rand Paul doesn't belong in the Senate. He belongs in a Montana cabin writing manifestos on the insides of ripped open Slim Jim boxes.

I realize this is an oversimplification... But our national news media treating anecdotal evidence as having almost the exact same weight as statistical/data driven evidence has brought us to this point. Too many people believe their experience is always as valid as scientific method.
