Buying tickets to a concert in advance means I can easily get the day wrong. At least the money went to an org that makes sure the proceeds go to the musicians! And dang it, I was looking forward to Fred Frith.

I am really excited about Disclosure Day, but I am worried about my misophonia and the horrible wet mouth click language in the previews. Please, anyone, let me know what it sounds like in the film after you see it. (Yes I know it comes out later this week)

Sound artists: the Sound Scene Festival DC is one of the most life reaffirming events I have ever done. If you see the call for it, definitely submit. Everyone I have met is wonderful, and the audience/visitors are thoughtful and invested. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

At the show last night I heard a lady telling the curator a story about a toxic site near where she grew up. The day before a docent told me their Baltimore stories of contaminated land. The show comes down today but I look forward to continuing this work in different locations moving forward.

A deer skull with video projected onto it showing a superfund site in Baltimore.

Exhausted by the intensity of misogyny that is normalizing in a way I have never experienced before, it feels important to share this cat. Because we all need to remember that there are soft things in the world that we can wholeheartedly love.

Today I had a six hour break in the work day so I went to the studio and worked on a piece for a wavefield synthesis. This is by far my favorite speaker array, and I am bummed that I can't invite Maryanne Amacher in to listen to it, but I know her and Bob Beilecki are a big part of why I built it.
