Buying tickets to a concert in advance means I can easily get the day wrong. At least the money went to an org that makes sure the proceeds go to the musicians! And dang it, I was looking forward to Fred Frith.
Why are relaxation apps all "listen to this sound of a typhoon." And "this is the sound of the Blue Angels flying very low overhead."

You know your apartment has gotten away from you when you think to yourself 'oops! Can't clean today. Gotta grade!' and feel excited about grading final papers.
Sound artists: the Sound Scene Festival DC is one of the most life reaffirming events I have ever done. If you see the call for it, definitely submit. Everyone I have met is wonderful, and the audience/visitors are thoughtful and invested. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Today I had a six hour break in the work day so I went to the studio and worked on a piece for a wavefield synthesis. This is by far my favorite speaker array, and I am bummed that I can't invite Maryanne Amacher in to listen to it, but I know her and Bob Beilecki are a big part of why I built it.
