Geppetto actually gave Carlo (OG) the white shirt as a gift but Carlo never wore it. He told friends the style was too much but in fact he was afraid his adventurous lifestyle would ruin the precious shirt.

Gepp self directing a movie and it was basically the same script as The Room with him being mc, Carlo being the love interest, and a random man playing the love rival (but he is not allowed to touch Carlo) Romeo is shooed away from the film set by our great director whenever he shows up
