A friend just asked me what I do to stay hopeful and I told him one of my favorite strategies…I stay hopeful by remembering that no one has any idea what the fuck is going to happen, so as long as we don’t know, we gotta do what we can.

Since we recorded, more NSF grants have been cut, more NSF workers slated to be fired, NSF budget proposed to be cut nearly in half, & NSF & DoD indirect rates were announced to be cut to 15%. On the plus side some people stepped in to save a USAID research lab (aces.illinois.edu/news/1m-gift...)
