In one of my favourite bookstores here in Copenhagen they put my new book about the climate crisis next to @jasonhickel.bsky.social. Not sure if this feeling is imposter syndrome or a sense of accomplishment?

I have a new book coming out in Danish about the Anthropocene and theories of materialism on December 5. Although it's a tiny little book mostly aimed at students, I'm honestly quite nervous about contributing to the public 'intellectual debate' in Denmark. Tips and good wishes are welcome. 🙏

Yesterday, Danish politicians agreed to the world’s first carbon tax on the agricultural sector. That's great. Unfortunately, the agreement reflects much of what is wrong with Danish climate politics: instruments are too weak and it relies on technological fixes. #dkgreen #dkpol
