Heartbroken by the atrocities being carried out in Palestine. I'm a Volunteer, Free spirit, avid reader, athletics freak, believe in fair play, a socialist Green Party Member. Poetry is my constant solace. On X under same name.

On 6 and 9 August 1945 the US denoted two atomic bombs on Hiroshima & Nagasaki. Thousands were killed. Sadako Sasaki was one of the children who developed leukaemia. Funds were raised by her school friends for a peace monument in her memory. Peace unfolds a thousand paper cranes - Sadako's wish

I went to the Keighley Gala today at Cliffe Castle to help out on the Keighley Together stall, bringing communities together to reject racism and division. Great turn out , lovely to see so many people enjoying themselves at this family friendly day out. The weather was kind to us this time 🫶

Today we visited the Teledyne Arms Factory in Shipley. They provide components & weapons to Israel to continue the Genocide. We decided to start our pots and pans protest early and were later joined by other men, women and children. We don't want a genocidal supporting arms factory in our back yard

I'm still trying to process the chaotic scenes outside the Westminster Mags Court yesterday. Peaceful protestors arrested for sitting down, clapping, wearing red whilst not showing any support for PA just there to support activists that were expressing support. Our Country has taken a dark turn.

70 arrests & counting outside the Westminster Magistrates Court. Not taking part today, but I did have a little win, having travelled 200 miles my case was adjourned, the Court apologised & admitted they had not notified me, so I can claim back all my expenses.....This is what humanity looks like.

Women and Men from far and wide came across the moor dressed as Kate Bush for the annual Wuthering Heights gathering in Haworth today. The weather was a bit wild. Unfortunately I couldn't get close to the action as it was a ticketed event which sold out in 45 seconds! I tried to capture the mood.

As part of the Haworth Festival, I went on an evening walk around Haworth with Bat detectors we saw loads of cute little bats flying around. 🦇 I think I've found myself a new hobby 🫶 I want to get a bat detector and I also got a badge, little things 😂
