1/ We are fully engaged at all levels to ensure the security of the Union’s external borders. We have received a request for additional support from Spain, including from Frontex, Europol and the EUAA. We are already working on the request and will take a swift decision.

160 million movements registered - that means almost 3 million per week, out of which 50,000 people with no right to enter were refused. Delivering real security benefits - the EU’s new Entry Exit system.
Entry into the EU is a privilege that must be protected. That is exactly what our new Entry/Exit System does, across the EU. Rewatch our press conference on the EES in Croatia ⬇️ audiovisual.ec.europa.eu/en/media/vid...

1/ We expect the Spanish authorities, working together with the Moroccan authorities, to uphold their commitment to ensure that the measures they take in response to the situation have no impact on the Schengen area. This reflects the Member States views at the informal JHA.

Looking forward to the informal JHA videoconference on Tuesday on the developments in Ceuta. It will be an important opportunity to exchange views on the current situation, on the lessons learned, also with regard to maximising our joint resilience.
We welcome today’s Council decision to extend Temporary Protection until March 2028. It reflects the EU’s support for the Ukrainian people and provides continued certainty for millions fleeing Russia’s war of aggression.
Behind an online every scam could be a victim of human trafficking. On #WorldDayAgainstTraffickingInPersons, I support UNODC's Blue Heart Campaign and this year's theme: "Trapped behind the scam." Together, we must #EndHumanTrafficking. #EUvsHumanTrafficking
🇪🇺 #SalzburgSummit

Useful exchange with Emad Al-Trabelsi, Minister of Interior of Libya. The EU will continue to support Libya in its efforts to build a comprehensive and rights-based migration management system. Combating the smuggling of migrants is crucial to our efforts.
It was a pleasure welcoming the Alliance of Rabbis in Islamic States. Thank you for your visit and for your commitment to helping Jewish communities thrive across the globe.
Good exchange with the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Walid bin Abdul Karim Al-Khuraiji. Bringing our regions closer is a strategic interest of the EU and Saudi Arabia. People-to-people contacts are at the heart of making this vision a reality.
Crime does not stop at our borders, and neither does our cooperation. The 269,000 drug interceptions made by UK Police and Border Force in the past year show why this partnership matters.
🌍 Drug threats move fast and across borders. Our response needs to do the same. Today, the EUDA and the United Kingdom signed a Working Arrangement, marking an important new chapter in their relationship: www.euda.europa.eu/drugs-librar...
Danke für die Einladung und den guten Austausch! 🇦🇹🇪🇺
Too many people are still being exploited by ruthless criminal networks and pushed into dangerous, often deadly, journeys. For the first time we propose a sanctions regime against those who profit from human misery.
Vielen Dank an die Einsatzkräfte der SARUV für euren Einsatz. Ihr seid der lebende Beweis dafür, wie europäische Solidarität aussieht.
Securing EU borders since 12 October: our new Entry/Exit System. Member States have caught human traffickers, stopped potential terrorists, and uncovered fraud in unprecedented ways. All thanks to our new system that collects and matches biometric data at border crossing points.
Good exchange with Foreign Minister @HakanFidan. We work together with Türkiye to prevent illegal migration, while creating more mobility opportunities and enabling people-to-people contacts.
In Ankara today with @kajakallas.bsky.social and @martakos.ec.europa.eu. Cooperation on Security and Migration is a top priority for both the EU and Türkiye and a core element of our agenda. The current geopolitical situation highlighted that we face common challenges and we need to work together.
Today, we launched NERON, the first European research network on antisemitism and Jewish life, backed by a €3.4 million Horizon Europe grant.
Good to visit the police at Gare du Midi yesterday. Valuable to see their day-to-day work firsthand and discuss the challenges they face in keeping one of Europe's busiest transport hubs safe. Thank you for your dedication.
